You and Me Mr Monochrome, You and Me by Gerry Potter

code

Colours baffle Mr Monochrome.
Bar-code shades, almost blues.

Saw you in the line last night,
next to the murderer, next to the thief.
Next to the bad decisions n’ out-comes.
Work your black n’ white, stay with your group.
The flick-knife dudes with dad issues.

Chick with the heavy blonde fringe, doey eyed Kohl,

has a note in her shoe.
Drugs in her gum.
Says she knows your brother.
How she gets in.

Remember you and me Mr Monochrome,
tangled in the toilet, blizzard in our nose.
tongues in our cheeks?

Colours baffle Mr Monochrome.
Bar-code shades, almost blues.
